Camp Allegheny has a year-round ministry of hospitality to thousands of guests who come here to build relationships, work on organizational tasks, sew quilts, connect with God, or any number of other retreat goals. Middle school environmental education, college leadership training, youth group retreats, men’s and women’s faith focused retreats, and more come out to Camp Allegheny for the wonderful environment, the friendly staff, the fantastic food, and the unbeatable value of a Camp Allegheny retreat. Join our Summer Staff
If you are looking for a simple summer job to just coast through these three months, Camp Allegheny is not the place for you. If, however, you are looking for a fun, exciting ministry to be a part of, you're in the right place!.
Over the summer Camp Allegheny serves over a thousand children, youth, and adults. In our 9 weeks of Summer Camping programs, we passionately use God’s creation to teach campers about Him and help them grow as, or become, disciples of Jesus Christ.
So, if you want to sit around the house all summer eating cheese curls and staring at the television, that is your call. But if you want to do something with your summer that could impact eternity, Camp Allegheny is the place for you!
We hire resident counselors, wranglers, lifeguards, food service, office, photographer and more... We also hire 6 high school students as Jr. staff. Staff receive 2 weeks of paid training and are trained in a wide variety of areas; communication, leadership, all activities, CPR and first aid, Bible study, age level characteristics and so much more. Starting salary for adult staff is $ 250/week plus room and board. Our summer program starts with training on May 26th and ends with the closing of our final events on August 8th. Most positions are hired for this entire time, though there is some flexibility for scheduling specific weeks off if required.
