Volunteering at Camp Allegheny
Camp Allegheny has a long history of being blessed by volunteers who have helped run programs, build buildings, set up networking services, install solar panels, clean up the grounds, counsel camps, and much, much more! If you would like to volunteer at Camp Allegheny we have a lot of ways to do so.
Weekly Servant Leaders
Weekly Servant Leaders are men and women of faith who come to Camp Allegheny for a week to lead Bible Studies, share during worship, and care for the spiritual well-being of both campers and summer staff. Weekly Servant Leaders are typically leaders in their local churches and need to be 25 years of age or older, able to get around camp without the use of a vehicle, and a mature, growing Christian.
Volunteer Counselors are individuals who come to camp, typically for a single week during the summer, to share Christ’s love with our campers. They help to supervise campers, lead games, Bible Studies, and other program activities as able, and ensure a physically, mentally, and spiritually safe environment for our campers.
If you are interested in being a Weekly Servant Leader or a Volunteer Counselor, please contact Camp Allegheny at email@example.com.
Registered Nurses (RN) and those with higher levels of qualification can volunteer a week of their time as a nurse at Camp Allegheny. Nurses ensure that all medications are given at their required times, address to camper and summer staff medical concerns, and respond to medical emergencies. We are happy to offer volunteer nurses a 50% discount on up to 2 camper registrations for their service.
