The Christmas Cookie Caper
Two years ago we were entertained as Andy and Annie remembered their days as campers, and then last year were witness to the real power of Camp Allegheny's ministry as they helped a young man and his father be reconciled to God. This year we will be entertained by "The Christmas Cookie Caper," which will add Mitch the Mail Man's antics to Andy and Annie's Christmas celebrations! The musical promises to include both some original music and some old and new camp favorites! So come join us for a great evening of food, fun, and fellowship at Camp Allegheny's third annual Dinner Theater. Click here for more details and to register. |

Worship and Fun Meet on the MountainMountain Praise was excellent this year! Over 100 people participated in an afternoon of great activities. The addition of horse and pony rides was a hit, and folks young and old enjoyed climbing, archery, mini golf and more. The evening was capped with the youth, who were from all over the Pittsburgh, Johnstown, and Somerset areas, coming together to lift up the name of Jesus in worship. Kevin Milliken, with the help of his brother, Andrew, did a great job of leading worship. He brought a timely message focused on Third Day's "Love Song" and reminding us that, through it all, God loves us. |

Good Eatin' - because man can't live on bread alone!”The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.' "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'” Matthew 25:20-21 (NIV) This is one amazing story! In God's infinite love and mercy, He entrusts to each of us talents and gifts to use for His glory and honor. This same love and mercy is also given to your teen. That is an exciting and humbling feeling all wrapped into one. God is looking for those who are faithful to the gifts and talents He has given out. Your job as parents is to help your teen use their talents, stay true to its requirements, and reflect Christ while using them. One way this can be done is through encouragement and living your faithfulness in front of your teen. The greatest accomplishment in any parent's life would be to ultimately hear our Master say about their [child], "Well done, good and faithful servant!" (This scripture lesson was provided for Camp Allegheny's use by The Parent Link.) |
