Art on a Limb… might be the place for you.

Art on a Limb, presented by Avant Gardens & Artwerx, is a weekend art retreat designed to give artists a place to gather and create unique projects while learning new techniques in an inspiring atmosphere.  Join us at Art on a Limb; September 24th – 26th, 2010 at Camp Allegheny, a retreat center in the beautiful Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania.  This intimate venue, nestled in 300 wooded acres, is the perfect place to get your creative juices flowing.

The workshops planned for the weekend will help you stretch your boundaries and reach new heights.  Instructors Cheryl Darrow of TENSeconds Studio and Lisa Patterson will guide you on your artistic climb and maybe even down a wooded path.

All artists will stay in rustic (but NOT rough) lodges (click here for a lodge tour), featuring multiple bedrooms with bunk beds (sleeping 4-8).  Each lodge is equipped with multiple restrooms, a lounge area and a small refrigerator.  Artists will provide their own pillows and linens (sheets, blankets and towels).

Enjoy home-style cooked meals in the Dining hall included in the retreat fee.  A “Welcome Mocktail” (non-alcoholic) Reception on Friday evening and snacks will be served.

The Art on a Limb retreat is $290.00 per person and includes: Accommodations, Meals, Workshops, Make-n-takes and a few surprises. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. 

**PLEASE NOTE: Camp Allegheny is a Christian retreat center and prohibits smoking
and alcohol on camp property.
